Social protection for posted workers, EMECs online worshop
On 30 November 2022, from 15h to 17h CET, first outputs of the EMEcs project (European market environment in the construction sector) will be presented in the online workshop titled Strengthening social protection for posted workers in times of emergency.
Fondazione Giacomo Brodolini (FGB) who is continuing its research activities in the field of posted workers, will take part at the event commenting the recently published country reports realized by the partners Soka-Bau (Germany), ISCTE-IUL (Portugal), ZZ Budowlani (Poland), FLC Asturias (Spain), and CNCE with the support of FGB and AEIP (Italy).
The reports analyse the restrictions introduced in the five countries to protect public health during the COVID-19 pandemic, with special reference to the impact on the mobility and social protections of posted workers in the construction sector.
Also, noteworthy is the publication of the EU Comparative Report, which compares and complements the findings of the national reports, illustrating how the pandemic has affected posting trends in the construction sector as well as the main issues experienced by workers and employers.
