SEED2SCALE is one of the five projects supported by the European Commission in order to activate and consolidate 5 National Competence Centers for Social Innovation (NCCs) in the 5 partner countries (Italy, Croatia, Greece, Romania, Slovenia).
SEED2SCALE is a continuation of the SEED project (2021-2023), developed in Italy, Greece, Romania and Slovenia, and applies a systemic approach to strengthen Social Innovation across Europe.
The ambition underlying SEED2SCALE is to reach a more mature stage of National Competence Centres for Social Innovation, with a defined legal framework and effective governance and business models, and consolidate their mission.
The initiative includes the creation of five National Competence Centres (NCCs), each with a clearly defined structure, mission, and governance model. These centres will offer essential services based on assessed needs, and their effectiveness will be tested and refined through pilot projects in partner countries.
In addition, digital platforms will be launched in each country to serve as resource hubs, providing accessible tools and information in national languages.
The project also fosters collaboration with national public authorities and key stakeholders to co-design strategies and action plans that integrate private sector involvement, aiming to ensure the long-term financial sustainability of social innovation.
Finally, SEED2SCALE encourages cross-border learning and knowledge-sharing through participation in a transnational network dedicated to establishing competence centres across all EU Member States.
Fondazione Giacomo Brodolini participates in the project as partner and is responsible for the Work Packages related to competences portfolio and pilot projects.
