Women in the Italian labour market
The study Impacts of policies on female participation in the labour market aims at estimating the factors that influence women's employment and at developing a model to support the design of policies to increase their participation in the Italian labour market.
For this purpose, after a preliminary desk analysis focusing on the labour market and women's employment, the indicators to be used for the study and their possible determinants will be identified. The required variables and their sources (including Labour Force Survey, INPS and Istat) will then be selected and, after obtaining the data, they will be merged to build a single database.
Subsequently, the coefficients of each of the identified determinants will be estimated and, finally, the model will be developed. Using the calculated coefficients, the model will simulate the effect of possible policies on one or more of the previously selected indicators, in order to produce analyses to be included in the economic and financial planning documents of the Italian Ministry of Economy and Finance.
FGB Srl SB is involved in all phases and activities of the project: from the desk research to contextualise the study, to the identification of the variables and indicators and construction of the database, the data analysis and the development of the model.
